The first ale, from brewer Hall & Woodhouse, comes in a 750cl champagne bottle and is housed in an wooden presentation box. According to BrandOpus, the box “reflects the hibernation of countryside animals”.
The ale has been brewed using “the special Boadicea, Bramling Cross and Goldings hops and matured in a Somerset Cider Brandy Company oak cask”.
The Collector’s Edition 2012 is the first in a series that will be launched annually. It is priced at £50 and is available on the Badger Ales website. It will be rolled out into stores in February.
