Bradford to be Sealed Air hub

Sealed Air, the protective packaging specialist, hopes its new facility in Bradford will become a hub for its European shrink packaging division.

The site includes a showroom, training services, spare parts sales and technical support. The company also offers part exchange and rebuilds machines to sell second-hand.

“We want to be the first phone call a firm makes for  shrink packaging across the supply chain,” said operations manager Colin Lovering.

“They can be safe in the knowledge that if we do not already have a particular product, we will work with them to try and develop it.”

The site houses Sealed Air’s latest shrink packer, the Shanklin Omni, which is also on show at its Packforum site near Paris (Packaging News, December 2006).
