New Vision Packaging, the packaging management firm, has supplied has supplied celebrity hairdresser Lee Stafford with packs for his Christmas gift sets which are sold exclusively in Boots.

The PET cartons, produced by Scatolificio Cristina of Italy, are printed using an offset-litho process for the design background.

The pattern, which features scissor and hair-dryer motifs, is printed using a special silk-screen process that applies a high-level of glitter to the outer surface of the carton.

To differentiate between the fragrance and haircare sets, the company produced the fragrance set with the print on the outside to give a matt appearance, with the haircare set being printed on the inside of the material to give a gloss appearance.

Stephen Shortland, managing director, told Packaging News: “This is the third year that we have worked with Lee Stafford – we act as its packaging guardians.

“This means that, whilst we produce a majority of the secondary packaging, there are one or two lines that our sourced outside of Europe for commercial reasons. In these cases we offer guidance and technical expertise to protect the integrity of the packaging.”

The company, which was formed in March 2006, has a turnover of £1.5m.
