Rexam gets into pet drink market with doggy can

Petrol is available in Rexam’s 12oz sleek can and has been introduced ahead of the holiday season as a possible present for an adored pet.

“We worked closely with the team at Petrol to help them achieve their goal of launching a product that would establish a new beverage category,” said Kip Nickel, vice president commercial operations Rexam Beverage Can North America.

“Our 12 oz sleek can enables this beverage brand to stand out on retail shelves while delivering superior environmental benefits and filling, distribution and retail economics.”

Petrol worked with Rexam’s Graphic Art and Printing Plate Operation in Elk Grove, Illinois on the repro work for the can.

“Many consider their pets a member of the family and as such they want their pets to enjoy the same quality of ingredients in their food they demand for themselves,” said Petrol president Jennifer Smith.

Petrol is available in the US for $3 and is available online.
