Rogue plastic in noodle packsstevenkiernan, 1 December 2006Be the first to comment on this article Batchelors has been forced to recall 4,800 packets of its chicken flavour Super Noodles over fears about the possible presence of small pieces of hard white plastic in the flavouring sachets. Alongside the product recall notices, which have been placed in the national press, the Food Standards Agency has also issued an alert for information on the scare. Notices will also be displayed in stores at point-of-sale. The company is carrying out an investigation with its supplier into how the plastic got into the sachets, but no further information was available as Packaging News went to press. A Batchelors spokesperson said the recall was a precautionary measure and stressed that only a small number of packs had been affected. Speak Your Mind |
