The 19th PPMA Show attracted over 300 exhibitors to hall five of the Birmingham NEC from September 26-28.

Although visitor numbers have not yet been audited, many exhibitors reported a high amount and quality of enquiries and leads. First-time exhibitor Easypack said that visitor response had been “exceptional” and Limpet Tapes product manager David Barkway said: “Wednesday was an excellent day, with good footfall and quality enquiries.”

On the first day of the show, PPMA chief executive Chris Buxton highlighted the increasing involvement of companies supplying process equipment in both the show and the association.

New equipment on show included Automated Packaging Systems’ Autobag AB 255 OneStep packaging system. Packaging Automation presented its latest high-speed filler, the Fastfill 100 and PFM Packaging Machinery its Scirocco flowrapper with MAP.
