Pearlfisher designs organic food packs

Pearlfisher has created the packaging for organic food label Raw Health to help it target health food shops in the UK.

The London-based agency has devised a contemporary look for the packaging, which uses a rich palate of colours and bold typography. The central design has been translated across 15 SKUs, including crisp-breads and chocolates.

The concept behind Raw is selling food at its most primary state – basic, unprocessed and uncooked. The Pearfisher lead designer on the project was Vicki Willetts.

Natalie Chung, Pearlfisher’s creative director, said: “Raw is an interesting brand with a concept that has allowed the designers to create a dynamic range of packaging that really redefines the category, creating something unique, rather than borrowing aesthetic cues from other categories.”

The labelling for Raw is printed by Jihoceská Tiskány OTK Group; the material used for the packs is TP board between 250gsm and 350gsm and the packs were filled by Lifefood in the Czech Republic.

Raw Health is owned by Windmill Organics, which owns organic brands including Amisa, Biofair, Biona and Profusion. It will become available at health-food shops across the UK, including Planet Organic and Wholefoods.

“Our Raw Health brand has been received extremely well by our customers and will be available in health food stores throughout the UK and Ireland,” said Donata Berger, Windmill Organics’ sales director.

“Pearlfisher really got beneath the skin of Raw and provided us with a vibrant design that totally fits our ‘vibrant living’ message.”
