Tin Horse designs on-the-go pack for Andrex toilet roll

The small, flexible plastic pack is designed to fit in a handbag. It tears open at the top and can be resealed with a self-adhesive tab.

Wiltshire-based Tin Horse designed the structure for the packaging, which shrinks as the 55 tightly packed sheets are used.

“It’s based on the insight that people carry around toilet tissue and there is no pack for this, so it gets damaged and breaks up,” explained Tin Horse director Peter Booth.

“We wanted it to be as light as possible and use the minimum amount of materials,” he added.

The project was completed in 11 months and is in UK stores now.
