Tynan D’arcy designs packs for Branston mayonnaise range

Tynan D’arcy has designed the labels for the latest launch from Premier Foods – Branston Mayo with a Twist.

Senior account director Jo Clifton said the design aimed to convey the quality and taste of the ingredients.

“Branston is known for giving extra ‘oomph’. We wanted to reflect modern eating habits, without losing the down-to-earth feel of Branston. The challenge was to convey all this on a small label,” she added.

Branston Mayo with a Twist is packaged in a squeezable top-down clear plastic bottle manufactured by Graham Packaging.

The range of four flavoured mayonnaises is the biggest launch from the Branston pickle brand in four years.

Flavoured mayonnaise accounts for 6% of sales in the mayonnaise category. It is growing by 96% year-on-year.

Branston marketing manager Kelly Pym said: “We are confident that this new activity in the mayonnaise sector will deliver the excitement the category needs.”
