Kimberly-Clark Disposable tissues
Kimberly-Clark in Mexico has spread its wings and created a themed pack of tissues for the office. It holds 180 tissues and has been cardboard engineered and printed to look like a typewriter. The tear-away piece has been placed where you would normally feed the paper and the container is printed litho. A clever idea.

Candy & Toy Factory candy
The Candy & Toy Factory Squawking Chicken, filled with egg-shaped candy, needs to be seen to be believed. A rather naked chicken from China has been injection moulded in a number of pieces and fitted together to provide a section holding egg-shaped candy pieces. When squeezed in the central region the chicken squawks – we say no more. A hanging booklet printed litho provides the information.

Cargo Classic lip gloss
Cargo in Canada has packed its classic lip gloss with added value. A timestrip insertion in the pack gradually changes colour until nine months, the recommended life, has been reached. 4.75g is filled into a standard glass tube and a plastic plug placed in the neck. The polypropylene screw cap with applicator is covered with a modified aluminium shroud featuring a window, which displays the timestrip. The pack is placed in a reverse tuck in carton printed litho.

Parado Remover Pot
A neat nail polish remover pack. Made in Japan, this Parado product holds 16ml of liquid in a double wall injection-moulded jar, probably polypropylene. Fitted into the inside wall is a series of polyurethane pads. The user inserts their finger into the jar, which then rotates on the nail to remove the polish. An injection-moulded screw thread cap in polypropylene complete with an EPE wad acts as closure. The product comes in a litho-printed blistercard. A compact innovation.

Materdomini Italian Grappa
An intriguing pack for grappa from Italy. 350ml is contained in a tall, round glass bottle with front and back labels printed silk screen, foil blocked and embossed. The closure is a plastic stopper with a wooden sphere on top. A clear viscose closure has been applied to the top producing an interesting disc shape when sealed. An additional security label has been placed over the seal, and a hanging recipe booklet is placed around the neck.

Lucas Bols Guarana Lime
Lucas Bols in Holland has created a new fruit liqueur drink in a custom-tooled rectangular glass bottle. As part of its promotion for this Pisang Ambon product, the closure has been produced to replicate a broadcasting microphone. This ties in with a promotional neckhanger for online ‘videoke’. Front and back labels are printed litho on plain paper.

Charal Chili Con Carne
A microwave meal pack from Charal, France. This Chili Con Carne features a new tray design, injection moulded in polypropylene and featuring an integral, detachable fork and a section for holding the tray once it is heated. The tray is sealed with a multi-laminate material, probably nylon and LLDPE. A litho-printed sleeve on kraft-lined cartonboard completes the package.
