Wyke Farms adopts resealable cheese packs

Wyke Farms, the Somerset cheese producer, has launched resealable packaging for its cheddar that is due to hit supermarket shelves this month

The new packs, which were created by Bournemouth brand design agency Thinking Juice, use a zip-pack seal after Wyke Farms’ consumer focus groups revealed customer were “actively seeking brands in resealable formats”.

The plastic film, which is printed in bold colours and shows a landscape picture of cows grazing, was produced by Cellac Packaging to help the packs stand out on shelf.

Richard Clothier, Wyke Farms managing director, said the new packs would help improve the consumer experience without compromising on quality.

“Resealable packaging is a modern approach for preserving the delicate flavour and texture of an otherwise traditional mature and vintage cheddar,” he said.

Wyke Farms’ products are available at major supermarkets across the UK, including Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s and Tesco.
