The Eco Packpal Series is made of 70% recycled polypropylene, making it fully recyclable at the end of its life, and is produced in a fully certified ISO 14001 plant.
The pallets have been designed to be versatile, and according to the company they have the lowest height currently available. This means they can be stacked 44-high, with a maximum of 1,452 1200×800 pallets per full truck, or 1,144 1200×800 pallets.
The Eco Packpal pallets are also nestable, which Linpac Allibert said would reduce fuel costs, particularly for reverse logistics.
The new pallets could also help cut insurance costs because they have been designed to help customers meet health and safety targets with safe and easy handling, the company added.
Frederic LeDuc, European product marketing manager, pallet & dolly for Linpac Allibert, said: “This is our response to customer requests for a lighter pallet offering the same performance in order to increase their efficiency while reducing costs.
“It also addresses the general shift within the industry towards manufacturing eco-friendly products as standard.”
The company declined to disclose how much each pallet costs, but told Packaging News that the range would be “competitively” priced.
Linpac Allibert expects the pallets to last up to seven years.
