“Environmental issues have never before been so high on the agenda,” she said. “We need to capitalise on this awareness and convert it into action that has a significant impact.” Meanwhile, supermarket chain the Co-op, is to launch a new bottle for its own-label whisky which will be the first commercially available 70cl spirits bottle to weigh less than 300g, setting a new ‘best in class’ standard.
