Blister pack firm Sepha to unveil leak tester at Interpackstevenkiernan, 3 March 2008Be the first to comment on this article Sepha, the Belfast-based manufacturer of blister packing and leak testing equipment, will launch a sachet leak tester for pharmaceutical and medical packs at Interpack next month.
According to Sepha, the test is a clean, dry and non-destructive process, so that samples that pass the test can be reintroduced to the packaging line, thereby reducing wastage while increasing product yield. Packs and their contents cannot be reused with the 'Blue Dye' test, the firm said. PakScan can simultaneously inspect up to four large sachets measuring 250x80x20mm, which speeds up testing and offers a more representative view of the entire production web. The pass/fail status for each sachet is indicated on a touchscreen, together with detailed graphical test data, so that any problems can be diagnosed quickly. PakScan can detect leaks down to 10 microns. Sepha will exhibit on Stand E47 in Hall 16 of the Messe Düsseldorf. Interpack runs from 24 to 30 April. Speak Your Mind |
