Bosch Packaging Technology has supplied a flow-wrapping line for Nestl’s new Swiss visitor centre La Maison Cailler.

Visitors will be able to see the entire chocolate making process including how the products are flow-wrapped using a Paloma D2 delta robot and Pack 201 horizontal flow-wrapper.

Bosch has slowed the machine down so that visitors can clearly see how the operation works.

Dragan Dragojlovic, Bosch product manager, said the firm was excited to work on the project to “give fans of Nestlé Cailler chocolates the opportunity to see how the products are handled”.

The Paloma D2 uses vision-guided software to accurately place the chocolates on the infeed chain of the Pack 201 wrapper that is designed to work with delicate foods.

The machines form part of Bosch’s Module++ line that allows standard machines to be linked together and are combined with an extruder to pack the confectionery.

La Maison Cailler opened at the start of April and represents the latest stage in a decade-long relationship between Bosch and Nestlé.
