G&D invests in Speedmaster
Glasgow label printer Gilmour & Dean will install a Heidelberg Speedmaster press next month equipped with double coaters, towers and interdeck UV drying.
The six-colour CD 74-6 LYLX-F (pictured) will enable the firm to print metallics and contrasting varnish effects in one pass, extending its services beyond labels, whisky tubes and box wraps to promotional materials up to 0.8mm thick. It will replace two older SM74s.
This is the first phase of planned investment in new equipment at the firm.
