Automated and Domino debut kit at PPMA show

Automated Packaging announced its new Autobag AB 255 OneStep bagging system for packing and shipping at the PPMA show and Domino continued the trend toward inline coding and marking with its new C-series plus range.

Designed to improve the efficiency of packaging for postal orders, the AB 255 OneStep can interface with shipping and customer databases then print label information directly onto the appropriate bag. The printed bag is then fed through an air feed to open it for filling.

Comprising the Autobag AB 255 Wide Bagger and PI 412c imprinter running inline, the OneStep operates at speeds up to 20 bags per minute, printing high resolution information at up to 30cm per second. The width of the pass through means bags up to 400cm wide can be filled and printed for direct dispatch.

On Domino’s stand the C-series plus range of coders included Ethernet and database connections among its interface tools.

The outer case coding machine is a non-contact printer with ink jet print heads for porous materials such as cartonboard. It runs at up to 30m per minute and is designed to print individual codes on each filled pack to allow consumers to trace the provenance of their product.
