M&H launches visible product level
M&H Plastics has launched a packaging concept for the personal care sector, which enables consumers to tell when the product is running low.
The Visistripe bottle has been conceived predominantly with beauty products in mind.
The container comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, featuring two vertical stripes of opaque plastic on opposite sides of the bottle, enabling consumers to view the contents level.
M&H claims that this product is the first of its kind aimed at the healthcare and beauty market and said that a major high-street retailer has already signed up to the concept.
The packaging has also been designed to give products on-shelf stand-out. M&H said that there are a number of colour options available as well as striking cap colours.
Some of the bottles available feature the see-through stripe, whereas others just bear a different coloured stripe, which can be used to colour-code the product type. For example, a white bottle carrying a purple stripe could be used for a brand’s shampoo, while the same brand’s bottle bearing a yellow stripe might contain conditioner.
Separately, M&H has developed a flip-top closure to improve shelf appeal of its 50mm tubes. The containers are primarily designed for use by the cosmetics sector and are manufactured from co-polymer polypropylene. The flip-top’s features include a self-clearing aperture.
