Ishida Europe has expanded its R series with two advanced multi-head weighers for fast and accurate weighing of small, fragile products.

The packaging equipment firm said the CCW-R linear and CCW-R small hopper machines are available in different variants to maximise the number of products handled and enable them to be tailored to precise customer needs.

The four linear variants are suitable for ultra-low target weights down to 3g.

They feature short drop-heights, which make them particularly appropriate for sugar-coated sweets or chocolate-coated mini biscuits.

The linear arrangement of the product transfer also allows precise product flow control.

The CCW-R-107 operates at 130 weighments per minute (wpm), while the CCW-R-108 and CCW-R-112 can mix-weigh two products at 65wpm.

The small hopper weighers, which are available in three versions to handle products from 5g to 500g, have a traditional circular multi-head design.

The CCW-R-214 runs at up to 210wpm, while the largest model, the CCW-R-220, can mix-weigh two products at up to 1kg at 70wpm.

Ishida said it could now offer customers more than 200 model variants of its multi-head weighers.
