Hapa expands flexo and digital ranges

Hapa, the Zurich-based supplier of on-demand pack print technology, has launched new additions to its flexographic and digital printer ranges at Interpack.

The company is showing the Hapa 210, a narrow-web printer designed for integration with conventional labelling machines to partially or fully print pre-cut, self-adhesive labels.

Hapa also showed the whole of its UV Drop on Demand digital print series for the first time. The Hapa 800 series has the capacity to print at full blister, carton or label web width.

New additions to the 800 range include the CartonJet and LabelJet. CartonJet handles pre-folded and glued cartons, while the LabelJet is available in reel-to-reel or inline executions.

It also introduced a new part to its Flexo range for serialisation. The part issues every blister with a unique number to enable it to be tracked and traced through the supply chain.

Marketing director Patrick Schmid told Packaging News: “We have had a lot of interest in it because of increased regulation in the pharmaceutical sector.”

Also on show were products from the Hapa 500 series, a range of digital laser engravers, for fast turnaround on flexography plates for all Hapa 200 and 700 series printers.

Hapa’s technology was also on show on the Uhlmann Pac-Systeme, IMA, Laetus, Bausch & Stroebel Machinenfabrik and Technoformati Trade stands.

Hapa is a part of the Coesia Group, an international federation of automated machinery companies.
