Sci-MX adopts Easypack biodegradable Cassette airbags
Easypack, the expert in cushion packaging, has been chosen to supply Sci-MX Nutrition with compostable airbags for the safe distribution of its sports nutrition products throughout Europe and the UK.
Sci-MX Nutrition has changed from low density polythene (LDPE) to 100% biodegradable Easypack Cassette airbags.
The biodegradable film is vegetable starch based and compostable to EN 13432 standard, which requires less than 10% residue remaining after three months.
The bags are made on site using a rented manual Easypack Cassette System.
Sci-MX Nutrition managing director Tim Hyman said the Cassette System is "easy to use, cost effective" and added that the film is "much stronger, providing better protection than standard bags".
