Premier Foods selects Domino coders

Premier Foods' plant in Histon, Cambridgeshire, has installed five Domino A300+ continuous inkjet coders.

The site, a Domino customer for more than 25 years, uses the equipment to print best before dates and batch codes onto the lid, neck and outer packaging of all products.

The latest installations will replace time-served Domino coders.

Neil Reynolds, Premier Foods' maintenance manager, said: "We are working at maximum output and the five Domino A300+'s have given us 100% uptime, which is very reassuring. In addition, consumables for the new machines seem to last longer."

Domino said the A-Series plus equipment can be integrated into new and existing production lines and require minimal operator intervention.
