Redpack to refurbish flow-wrapping kitliz.wells@haymarket.com, 5 January 2009Be the first to comment on this article Redpack Packaging Machinery has launched a refurbishment service for flow-wrapping machines following demand from manufacturers and contract packers. The service sees machines stripped down, shot blasted and repainted, rewired with updated electronics, fitted with new bearings and parts, inspected for safety regulations, tested and set up to customer specification. The company said the service would not be restricted to the machines that it manufactures, subject to inspection. Redpack’s Steve Crow said: “In some sectors the credit crunch has resulted in a freeze on the purchase of all capital equipment. This refurbishment service provides an alternative way forward for packaging development managers faced with the need for increased or more flexible output from existing production lines.” Redpack Packaging Machinery has been designing and manufacturing flow-wrapping machines for nearly 30 years.
