SJA installs 12-station spooler

The 12-station machine, installed by Double R Controls, has shear slit capabilities that can accommodate both adhesive and non-adhesive materials that are extensible or non-extensible.

With a slit width range of 4.75mm to 30mm, the machine will allow the company to move into providing bobbin winding. SJA decided to make the investment after an unnamed client expressed an interest in using the firm for such a service.

SJA, which has been running for three years, expects sales to hit £2.4m this year, up from £1.8m in 2005.
