PN hits gossip columns as Girls Aloud gatecrash UK Packaging Awards

A report in this morning’s 3am column in the Daily Mirror reveals that the girls gatecrashed the dinner with singer James Morrison.

The music stars were attending the Music Industry Trust Awards, which were also on at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Monday.

The group, which includes top football WAG Cheryl Cole, came across the UK Packaging Awards event when they slipped out of the music event during speeches with a plan to make mischief around the hotel.

However, it seems that they didn’t stay long at the Packaging News-organised evening.

The report said: “Exploring the Grosvenor House, we all stumbled into the (yawn) Packaging Industry Awards, bursting through the door just as they announced [the winners].

“Everyone shouted “Cheryl,” who grabbed us and giggled: “You girls are going to get me in so much trouble. Run!”"

Thanks to their quick exit, the girls missed out on celebrating with winners including Benson Box, Webb Scarlett deVlam and Smurfit Kappa. For the full run-down of the night’s winners, click here.
