The design consultancy excels at creating brand identities, innovative products and structural packaging, and its 360-degree approach to a brand allows it to develop products that are beyond the obvious category norms. Webb Scarlett deVlam uses all of its product and structural packaging knowledge to produce products that fulfil unspoken consumer desires, such as its work with Dulux. The innovative Dulux Paint Pod seeks to take the tedium out of painting. The pack fits into a powered base unit, which, at the touch of a button, feeds paint from the pack to the roller. Through its work with Tommee Tippee it has created products that are loved by mothers and babies alike, including its patented Easiflow drinking cup. Familiarity with glass manufacturing techniques enabled the consultancy to get more involved in the structural design of Plymouth gin, with its elegant Art Deco-inspired shape. It has also been instrumental in the launch of Boss Skin Shine Control this year. With offices in London, Chicago and Sydney, Webb Scarlett deVlam is ideally located to take full advantage of the major global markets of Europe, America and Australasia. Managed in the UK by founding partner Ian Webb, the agency defines itself by the excellent commercial performance that has been delivered for its clients. The 52-staff firm is also turning a healthy profit margin. This award was sponsored by Sun Chemical
