Timestrip: Cargo lipgloss with Timestrip smart label technology
Timestrip’s application of its adapted Timestrip to Cargo cosmetics’ lipgloss range just carried on impressing the judges this year and scooped the award  in the labelling category, too. What more can we say about this unique application that informs consumers when it is time to throw the product away? Well, one judge described it as “excellent” while another noted it was “genuinely innovative”. Praise indeed for the Timestrip, which was developed as a nine-month temperature label. Timestrip follows in the footsteps of Chesapeake Branded Packaging, which won the award for its Russian Standard Vodka label last year, a brand that has rocketed in popularity over the past 12 months – winning this award obviously leads to good things. Watch out for the next generation of Timestrip Plus, which is being developed for ambient conditions.

Kingsway Printers: M&S Grinders featuring Crystal Clear Peel & Reveal labels
The glass-like clarity of the labels on Marks & Spencer’s pepper grinders was one of the many things that impressed our judges about these packs. Kingsway Printers used lean film, made from two layers, from Avery Dennison to create the effect. Recipes hidden within the peel-and-read label add extra value. “It’s a very clear label, despite the two layers,” said one judge.
