Bark Verpakkingen: Bark Dosing System

A runaway winner in the category, Bark Verpakkingen’s dosing system impressed the judges, with one calling it “the innovation of the year”. The bottle aims to end the frustration that consumers face when squeezing the last drops from a liquid. The pack incorporates a dosing chamber, which is filled up when the user turns the bottle upside down. This then measures out a portion of the product. Available in 250ml, 500ml and 1,000ml, there’s an additional ‘levelling’ option, which allows the use to measure out a precise amount of liquid. Dutch-based Bark adds that the bottle can be customised and can function regardless of design or shape. The bottle can also incorporate specific colours, which Bark says is not usually an option with existing dosing systems. In March, Bark clinched its first customer for the product and the judges were blown away. “This is an outstanding innovation and takes packaging forward,” said one while another believed that this could be the next “trigger pack” for dosing making an impact in the medical and household sectors. “It’s a system that could transform the needs of dosage; a great innovation and very marketable,” concluded one from the judging panel.
