ITW, the industrial products manufacturer, will launch its new packaging division at Interpack 2008.

The company said it created ITW Packaging following the success of its specialised packaging businesses units.

ITW has 47 business units involved in packaging across the globe, including Signode Japan, Meritex China, Packaging Systems New Zealand, Cema Packaging in Germany, Hi-Cone Spain, and Supreme Plastics in the UK. It also owns US-based BagCo, Zip-Pak, Reddi-Pac and Acme Packaging Systems.

The new division will work in conjunction with major companies in the food and beverage markets to develop tailor-made packaging.

With subsidiaries in the UK, Poland, Netherlands and Spain, ITW Packaging will also be able to co-ordinate work to address the specific market requirements of individual countries.

ITW Packaging will be on stand C87 in Hall 10 of Interpack.
