Interpack expects 180,000 visitors
Interpack 2008, which opens its doors tomorrow (24 April), expects to attract around 180,000 visitors as it marks its 50th anniversary.
More than 2,700 exhibitors from the packaging machinery, materials and services sectors will fill the 170,000sq m of the Messe Düsseldorf from 24-30 April.
Visitors to this year's show will be able to learn about the history of Interpack at an exhibition on the gallery in Hall 6, celebrating the 50th birthday of the show.
Other key attractions will include the Innovationparc Packaging exhibit in Hall 7a, which will focus on the FMCG market.
Another feature this year is the Bioplastics in Packaging showcase, supported by the European Bioplastics Association, which will also be located in Hall 7a.
Messe Düsseldorf managing director Wilhelm Niedergöker said Interpack 2008 "responds to the needs of the market".
