Brand Design: Cockburn’sJosh Brooks, 1 October 2008Be the first to comment on this article Design Bridge has modernised the packaging for Cockburn’s port with a new bottle shape and label. The new taller, sleeker bottles were inspired by the ‘sharper, neater’ Aston Martin DB5 driven by Daniel Craig as James Bond in Casino Royale. Design Bridge senior designer Laurent Robin-Prevallee said the previous packaging was created in the 1960s, but with a new actor playing the suave spy, the packaging has been updated to look “pretty sharp”. The neck and the collar of the bottle are more defined and masculine, with straight, strong shoulders and the redesigned embossing of the cockerel is now stronger and neater. The labels include matt and gloss varnishes, and the bottle is available in 33cl, 50cl, 70cl, 75cl and one-litre sizes. Client: Beam Global Speak Your Mind |
