Perrier puts burlesque star Dita Von Teese on racy packs: galleryDavid Elliott, 13 July 2010Be the first to comment on this article Sparkling water brand Perrier is attempting to raise temperatures this summer with a range of limited edition cans and bottles featuring burlesque star Dita Von Teese.
The Nestlé Waters-owned brand is calling the campaign Paparazzi and the packs feature black-and-white images of Von Teese next to newspaper-style text. On the cans and shrink-wrapped six packs, the designs are partially covered with angular shards of Perrier’s famous bottle-green colour. Continues below…
Perrier said that Von Teese’s vintage style and sparkling, refreshing personality complemented the brand. “The Perrier brand has always been edgy, and we are delighted to be working with Dita Von Teese,” said Nestlé Waters UK brand manager Priya Shaheed. “In its history, Perrier has worked with some of the world’s most talented artists such as Warhol, Savignac, Villemot and Kiraz; we are now proud to be upholding the tradition by embarking on a new stylish adventure.” Von Teese said: “I used to see Perrier’s pin-ups in coffee-shop windows and dream of one day being like them. It is a true honour to join past collaborators with the brand such as Andy Warhol.” Perrier’s new packs are being supported by a similarly risqué interactive website also featuring Von Teese, in which the star invites visitors into her mansion to watch her perform.
