Pernod Ricard has brought back the limited edition silver Jameson whiskey bottle for both the on- and off-trade ahead of St Patrick’s Day on Wednesday.

The silver sleeve has helped attract younger adults to the brand and for the on-trade market forms part of a sampling campaign to promote the drink as a mixer.

Patrick Venning, head of marketing for Jameson, said the limited edition bottle reinforced the brand’s credentials as a “premium, modern and stylish” whiskey.

“St Patrick’s Day is such an important time for the trade and we are looking to provide them with the chance to capitalise on the strong sales opportunity it presents. We think that this distinctive limited edition bottle will help fulfil the revenue potential in the off-trade market,” he said.

The bottle has eye-catching detail and subtle embellishments on the base and neck that “adds a modern twist” to the brand’s Irish heritage.

Pernod Ricard first used the limited edition bottle last year.
