Britvic has relaunched its limited-edition 440ml Tango cans with an on-pack music promotion.

The cans, known as the Tango Orange Sound System, will sit alongside the standard 330ml cans and will cost 65p.

A similar larger-sized can, designed by branding agency Blue Marlin, was on sale for a limited period last year with a tongue-in-cheek request for consumers to call the company if they experienced any unusual side-effects. Callers were then automatically entered into a prize draw.

Tango senior brand manager Adam Goodger said: “We know from the response last year that consumers loved our bigger can, so we brought it back with a new music makeover.”

The Sound System can is part of a £2.5m three-month campaign running between June and August.

In 2009, Tango attracted 600,000 new households to the brand and added 1m litres to overall soft drink sales in the UK.
