Alara Wholefoods produces 17 different organic, gluten-free and Fairtrade mueslis and part of the objective of the rebranding was to create a consistent look. “At the moment, we have four different logos on the market,” said managing director and founder Alex Smith. “Given that enhancing the environment is our passion, it makes sense to use this within the new brand; we also hope it helps our sales effort.” Printpac is producing the new recyclable card and film packs that turns Alara’s “Welcome the Sun” motto into an image of a sunrise. The packs carry links to the company’s website so consumers can find more information on sustainability and take part in competitions. Marketing focuses on environment As a result, sales increased by 20% as sales for organic products as a whole fell. “We believe that the new brand will both reflect what we’ve been doing and act as a continuation of it,” said Smith. “The ‘Welcome the Sun’ message will allow us to influence those in contact with the company to move, if only a step or two, in the same direction.” Click here for today’s headlines from across the packaging industry Speak Your Mind |
