KernPack debuts high-speed flow-wrapper at bakery exhibitionSimeon Goldstein, 12 March 2010Be the first to comment on this article KernPack will be showing its latest high-speed flow-wrapping machine for bakeries for the first time in the UK at the Baking Industry Exhibition (BIE). KernPack’s new machine is manufactured by Tecno Pack and the firm said it was ideal for wrapping piles of crackers, confectionery and biscuits for its consistency and minimised downtime. KernPack sales manager Tony Bradley said the machine responded to an increased need for automated processes in the baking sector. “The high-end bakery sector demands increased productivity along with a reduction in manual labour, driving the need for automation. “Robotics, flow-wrapping and automated end-of-line packaging take the product straight from the oven and out the door with minimum human intervention,” said Bradley. KernPack will also be showcasing its range of thermoformers, heatsealers and vacuum packers. BIE takes place alongside Foodex, the Food and Drink Expo and the Food and Drink Logistics Show at the NEC in Birmingham from 21-24 March. At the Foodex show, Packaging Automation will be unveiling the latest addition to its heat sealing range. Speak Your Mind |
