Sonoco, the global packaging manufacturer, has announced a 10% price increase on the plastic cartridges and plungers it supplies to the adhesives and sealants sectors.

Bob Puechl, division vice president and general manager of Sonoco's rigid plastics business, said: "The adjustment in price is a direct reflection of the escalating costs in resins, energy, freight and converting."

The increased prices were introduced on 15 August.

Sonoco has 334 facilities in 35 countries.
