Beauty product manufacturer Beiersdorf has chosen RPC Bramlage-Wiko’s Magic Star dispenser as the packaging for its new range of Nivea For Men skincare products.

Nivea required a packaging format that could be clearly branded and allow the product to be measured and dispensed easily.

RPC has developed an exclusive headpiece design for its airless Magic Star dispenser to be used on the Nivea range. It is designed to emphasise the masculinity of the product and features a raised dispensing head and clear over-cap, while an indented band separates the headpiece from the container’s body.

The Magic Star is injection moulded in polypropylene random copolymer and supplied in blue and grey. Beiersdorf then applies colour-matched labels to the outer jars to complete the packaging.

Beiersdorf’s packaging team worked closely with RPC’s engineers on the design.

Kurt Mählmann, a member of Beiersdorf’s packaging team, said: “Nivea for Men is a prestigious and popular brand, so our packaging must offer the highest standard in terms of functionality and aesthetics.”

Nivea For Men’s new dispenser has been launched in Europe and is due for worldwide release in the near future.

RPC said yesterday it expected first-half profits to be up on last year, despite falling revenues.
