Sealed Air to reward distributor loyalty

Sealed Air, the manufacturer of protective packaging, aims to improve its supplier network by setting up three-year contracts with packaging distributors across Europe and the Middle East (EMEA)

The firm said it expects to sign up 40 distributors to its ‘loyal distributor agreement’ programme and has appointed five people in the UK, France, Italy, Germany and Russia to a special council to drive the initiative forward.

According to the firm, the scheme’s ethos of long-term partnerships will improve its supply network throughout the world, by offering signed-up distributors first access to developments in shrink wrapping technology and a training programme for sales people.

Shrink packaging sales manager Paul Feeley will be the UK representative on the council.

A Sealed Air spokeswoman told Packaging News: “Those who sign up to a loyal distributor agreement will become members of an exclusive group which will participate in developing a European strategy for the supply of new products and receive sales leads from other loyal distributors abroad as well as priority access to new products and sales incentives.”

They will also be able to take advantage of Sealed Air’s sales and management training programme to help develop their sales teams.

Products offered by Sealed Air include Cryovac, Opti and Sealed air Primoflex films.
