Swiss-German partnership to start PLA productionliz.wells@haymarket.com, 12 September 2008Be the first to comment on this article A joint partnership between Switzerland’s Pyramid Technologies and German Bioplastics is to open a PLA production facility at Guben on the German-Polish border. The partnership, operating as Pyramid Bioplastics, will produce 60,000 tonnes of PLA a year. A first production unit, for which the plant engineering is in progress, will commence operations in the second half of 2009. The plant will be based on technology provided by Uhde Inventa-Fischer. Pyramid Bioplastics will also undertake research and development in co-operation with Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Polymer Research. Speak Your Mind |
