STO upsizes bottles for Champneys pampering products

Health resort chain Champneys has turned to glass packaging group STO-Flaconnage to produce two enlarged bottles for its range of bathing products.

STO-Flaconnage, which has recently made a multi-million pound investment to upgrade its furnace in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, created 200ml and 400ml versions of its existing 100ml Bliss bottle for the project.

Champneys' supplier Acheson & Acheson wanted the 400ml version of the bottle for its Thai Royale Bubble Float bubble bath.

The 200ml bottle, meanwhile, will be used for three Champneys products: Perfect Sleep Soothing Bath Milk, Aqua Therapy Detox bath Tonic and Moisture Miracle Skin Comforting Bath Milk.

Champneys products, which are formulated by Acheson & Acheson, are sold through supermarkets as well as the group's four health spas.

Mark Devonald-Smith, STO-Flaconnage group sales director for perfumery and personal care, said: "Anyone in the fashion business knows producing a larger size of a model calls for more than a simple increase of dimensions if the final result is to be aesthetically pleasing.

"But our design department is highly skilled and produced brilliant versions of this straight-sided cylindrical bottle."
