Wright Machinery claims it has developed a feed and flavouring system that improves the efficiency of weighing/bagging machines in the snacks industry.

The Wright Proportioning Distribution System operates with individual flavouring drums to feed each weigher-bagger, rather than the traditional method – where a single drum will feed any number of machines.

The Middlesex-based firm said this offered flexibility for different snack flavours to be produced at the same time on a single line.

Sales director Mike Reed said the system ironed out fluctuations in output, keeping packaging machinery working at high speed.
