Graham unveils mid-range sleever

Essex equipment manufacturer Graham Engineering launched a new mid-range automatic shrink-sleeve applicator at last month’s Emballage show in Paris.

The vertical-feed VF350 (pictured) can handle round, square and oval containers in glass, plastic, metal, PVC, PET or OPS clear or pre-printed material down to 40 microns thick.

It can apply shrink sleeves to up to 350 bottles per minute, sitting between the company’s entry level RF 100, 150 and 250 systems and its VF650, which can process up to 650 bottles a minute.

The VF350 costs from £75,000, compared with £100,000 for the VF650.

Export sales manager Peter Ludlam said the company’s machines were proving particularly popular in the dairy industry because more companies were launching healthy, dairy-based drinks, such as flavoured milks.
