Rieke responds to airport rules
Rieke Packaging Systems Englass has launched a range of airless dispensers for personal care products, aimed at air travellers.
The Leicester-based firm’s travel-sized 50ml and 100ml airless dispensers comply with regulations restricting containers in excess of 100ml passing through airport security checks.
Rieke’s move comes after Euromonitor predicted that the new air security rules would prompt massive growth in the market for travel-sized toiletries and cosmetics packaging (Packaging News, December 2006).
The packs were not originally designed in response to the new air restrictions, but it became clear to Rieke that the smaller-sized options in the airless range would be ideal for the purpose.
