Sessions shows Braille label kit
Sessions of York will show its latest developments in Braille labelling systems at Total.
Although Braille has been mandatory on pharmaceutical packaging since 2005, one of the major challenges facing manufacturers is achieving sufficient definition to the Braille so that it is readable.
Sessions’ high-speed presses can print 0.37-0.4mm dot heights to very high tolerances on transparent film.
The company will also display its ‘scratch and sniff’ labels, which combine multi-coloured printed graphics and the application of fragrance.
Sessions is also launching the Cat Sleeve 500 sleeving machine. The firm said the machine was “the culmination of an in-depth research and development study of the developing sleeving market”.
The Cat Sleeve will be exhibited alongside other machinery such as its latest thermal transfer printer, the RCP64, which is designed to both print and apply labels to cylindrical containers from vials to wine bottles.
The Sessions team is on stand 4415.
