Tea chests prove popular for POS
Smith Bros said its industrial and tea chest-style wooden packaging products were proving the most popular items on its stand.
Customers saw the potential of using the tea chests as point-of-sale displays as well as transport cases, said director Harvey Smith.
He said visitors to the firm’s stand (number 3455) had also been interested in the environmental benefits of using wooden packaging.
It was more sturdy than board equivalents, and could therefore be reused, and lighter than equivalent metal packs, he said, adding that the manufacture of the materials also used less energy than was used in producing board packaging.
