Nova Innovene’s Imx plastic cup will make its European debut in early June, as Dutch plastic packaging manufacturer Wolters Kunststoffen starts manufacturing the product under licence.

Imx technology produces an expandable polystyrene (EPS) cup, to which photographic quality images can easily added, enabling brand owners to combine design freedom and functionality.

“EPS provides unsurpassed insulation for hot and cold products,” said Nova Innovene packaging business development manager Marc Vlug.

It also lets EPS converting kit makers participate more in the food packaging market.

“There are many more uses than just drinks,” said Vlug. “Any food could conceivably be contained in EPS cups.”
