Linpac picks Wunderlich as head of plastics

Linpac Group has appointed Ralf Wunderlich as president and managing director of its Linpac Plastics division.

Wunderlich has been in the packaging industry for more than 15 years, working in Europe, South-east Asia and the US, and most recently was president of Alcan Packaging Global Tobacco.

Before this, he fulfilled a similar role for Alcan Packaging in Asia Pacific.

Wunderlich will take over at Linpac Plastics, based in Knottingley, West Yorkshire, on 1 January 2008 and report to group chief executive Mike Arrowsmith.

He will replace Andrew Creese, who left the firm about eight months ago. An interim managing director has been fulfilling the role in the meantime.

Wunderlich will also become a member of the Linpac Group board.
