Ditone to produce Braille labels for Aspar pharma
Ditone Labels, part of Clondalkin's specialist packaging division, will produce 20 million Braille labels for Aspar pharmaceuticals over the next two years.
The contract with analgesic manufacturer Aspar includes the production of three million Extensia leaflet labels each year, which allow more information to be included on a small surface area.
Aspar project manager Jonathan Prudhoe said that given the "highly significant contract value" it needed a packaging supplier that would meet its high standards.
Cambridgeshire-based Ditone was required to undergo an audit to meet the requirements of the pharmacies and supermarkets that Aspar serves.
Ditone sales manager John Haworth said that the company's work on pharmaceutical and Braille packaging meant it had "all the processes in place" to help Aspar meet its labelling objectives.
