Octal Holding to demo Apet sheets at Interpack

Octal Holding, the Oman-based producer of Apet for packaging, will showcase its resins and sheets at Interpack in April.

Octal produces Apet sheets with +/-1% tolerance, which it claimed would allow packaging manufacturers to know more accurately how many trays can be produced per tonne of sheet.

Chief operating officer Joe Barenberg said the gauge used also meant customers did not have to worry about "unpredictable thin spots", meaning savings "from 3% to 8%".

Octal was established in 2006 and is investing $300m (£150m) in customised production technology at its plant in Oman. It believes the investment will add an extra 300,000 tonnes of capacity to the market.

The company also has sales operations in the US, Europe and Asia.

Octal will be on stand B19 in Hall 9 at Interpack, which runs from 24 to 30 April at the Messe Düsseldorf.
